I was able to try a blog assignment after the article talking about blogs was assigned. I did it for a couple of assignments to see how well it worked with 12th grade students and to get rid of paper hard copies. I did not really notice a improved completion rate. The same students who always turned in their work did this assignment, those that do not like to do homework were more inclined to skip the assignment. The assignment was simple enough, just a current event.
